An Investigation of Usability of Zeolite and Metakaolin in Autoclaved Aerated Production

Abstract
Autoclaved aerated concrete is lightweigth construction materials that produced from silica based sand and use of gas formed agent material. Zeolite and metakaolin has a high silica ratio at chemicalcomponent and they are raw materials which shows puzzolanic properties. In this study, it is produced a autoclaved aerated concrete which has a main raw materials zeolite and metakaolin. Samples are shaped 7 cm sided cubic mold and cured for 8 hours in 172°C temperature in 8 bar steam pressure. İt is made a physical and mechanical experiments on samples. As a result, it was observed that bulk density values 0,80‐0,72gr/cm^3 and compressive strength values 5,52‐5,04 MPa of autoclaved aerated concrete which produced from zeolit and it was observed that bulk density values 0,69‐0,63gr/cm3 and compressive strength values 3,83‐3,11 MPa of autoclaved aerated concrete which produced from metakaolin.
