Abstract
This paper introduces a novel optimization method named as Soccer League Competition (SLC) Algorithm for the solution of nonlinear equations. This algorithm is sports based and inspired from soccer leagues. SLC is based on the competitions among teams and players. It starts these arch with a population of candidate solution individuals as done in other meta heuristics algorithms. Population individuals are called players and they are classified as Fixed Players and Substitutes. The competition among teams aims to take the possession of the top ranked positions in the league table and the competitions among the player’s results in the convergence of population individuals towards the global optimum. SLC has given more accurate and more rapid results for nonlinear equations systems when compared with other meta heuristics algorithms.
