Title Of Article :
Synthesizing and Characaterization of Silver Based Metallic Glassesfor Advanced Technological Applications
Abstract :
Silver and copper have the highest electrical conductivity. Because of this reason, Ag‐Cu alloys are used in many applications in electronics industry. Although Ag‐Cu alloys have high electrical conductivity, their mechanical strength is insufficient for some applications. Manufacturing these alloys completely or partially in amorphous structure could be one of the methods of improving their mechanical strenth. In this study, glass forming ability of Ag‐Cu alloy system has been investigated. Ag64Cu36 alloy is modified by silicon and Ag54Cu36Si10 ve Ag51Cu34Si15 alloys are synthesized. Glass forming ability of the alloys investigated by X‐ray diffraction (XRD). Microstructures of the alloys are examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
