Abstract :
The articles in this book are a collection of the research and practices on translator training by the author at various institutes for a variety of purposes. In addition to sharing her extensive experience in the field of translator training, the author also expresses her opinions about what may be done in future.Published in 2004, the book consists of 9 chapters. Before summarizing the chapters, I would like to cite the “Introduction” part. The paragraph that begins with the sentence “One day in fall 1976, I went to the Faculty of Letters…” immediately grabbed my interest, as I also spent some years at the same place during my undergraduate study. In this part, the author tells the story of how she got acquainted with Translation Studies.
