Abstract
The title of the book is “From ‘Mommy! Turks are coming, let’s escape!’ to “Mommy! Italians coming! Let’s escape’ “. The image of the Turks in the Italian Translation of ‘Midnight Express’ ” . The author Rıza Tunç Özben has published several scholarly articles on the Interpreting Studies and he is also a translation scholar who has a book on Gideon Toury’s theories of translation in Turkey. He worked at School of Foreign Languages of the Marmara University between 1990-2001 as a full-time lecturer and at the Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies of the Yeditepe University between 2006-2007 as a part-time lecturer.
