Abstract :
Dehydracetic acid and its derivatives are widely used as an intermediates in organic synthesis. In this paper, we report several methods used for synthesizing this acid. We will also describe, in more details, the reactivity of this pyrone against electrophilic and nucleophilic reagents and its biological properties.
