Abstract :
The titled new functionalized N,O,O- donor ligand, [(4-bromo-3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)(4-chlorophenyl)-methyl]-propanedioate (4) is prepared in good yield throughcondensation of 4-bromo-3,5-dimethyl pyrazole, with 2-arylidene-malonic acid diethyl esters(3). The structure of compound (4) was determined by spectral (IR, 1H NMR), elementalanalyses and X-ray diffraction data. The molecular conformation shows two possible pocketsready to coordinate with two metal atoms.
