Title Of Article :
Biodegradable and anti-carcinogenic chitosan / benzaldehyde modification and preparation of its nanocomposite
Abstract :
Chitosan is a new functional material of much potential in various fields. Based on current research and existing materials, some new and futuristic approaches in this fascinating area are thoroughly investigated. Chitosan basically is obtained from prawn/crab shells; deacetylation of chitin produces chitosan which is the derivative of chitin. In this study, chitosan / benzaldehyde modification was made between the clay layers in acidic aqueous solutions containing an anionic surfactant. The bentonite clay was used as a nanoscale. First opened in the presence of surfactant in the clay layers was achieved. Chitosan/benzaldehyde modification between these layers was performed by chemical methods. Characterizations of synthesized biocomposite were obtained by FT-IR, XRD, TGA and SEM analysis techniques. As a result, the modified chitosan entering between the layers of bentonite, anti-carcinogenic and biodegradable nanocomposites were synthesized.
