Abstract :
This study was carried out in Saros Bay, an area closed to bottom trawling since 2000, between September 2006-September 2008. Relationship between total length and otolith size of a total of 322 specimens belonging to four-spotted megrim (Lepidorhombus boscii) was examined. The otoliths from blind side were used for age determination, as the nucleus is more central than otoliths in ocular side. The age range ranged between I and XIII years for all individuals. Total length-otolith size relationship was, respectively, determined as TL=4.8311OS-3.8677, TL=4.8611OS-4.6958 and TL=4.9653OS-4.8915 for female, male and all individuals.
