Title Of Article :
Numerical investigation of natural convection heat transfer of nanofluids ın a square enclosure
Abstract :
In this work, a steady, laminar natural convection of water-based nanofluids in a square enclosure is studied numerically. Computations are carried out for various values of Rayleigh numbers, solid volume fractions, nanoparticles and partition heights. Results show that these parameters have a significant effect on the flow and heat transfer. Heat transfer occurs by conduction for the low Rayleigh numbers. As Rayleigh number increases, the natural convection prevails thus the temperature variation around the partition decreases. The heat affected region becomes larger as the partition height increases. It is also shown that up to 70% of heat transfer enhancement can be achieved with increasing solid volume fraction of nanoparticles.
