Flora of Hodul Mountain (Nevsehir-Kayseri) and Its Surroundings
Abstract :
This research details Flora of Hodul Mountain (1949 m) and its surroundings, located province of Nevşehir and in the Iran-Turanian phytogeographical region. A total of 1218 plant specimens were collected from the research area between October-2008 and August-2010. An evaluation of these specimens revealed 63 families, 244 genera and 415 taxa. Of the 415 taxa which are identified from research area and member of spermatophyta, 5 are gymnosperms and 410 are angiosperms (46 monocotyledons and 364 dicotyledons). 74 taxa (17,83 %) of these specimens are endemic. The phytogeographical region distribution of plants is as follows: elements of Irano-Turanian 123 (29,63 %), elements of Euro-Siberian 15 (3,61 %), elements of Mediterranean 23 (5,54 %), multiregional or phytogeographically unknown 254 (61,20 %).
