Supplier selection based on multi-criteria decision making approaches: an implementation in electronics sector

Supplier selection which is an important part of the supply chain management, is a multi-stage and difficult decision problem requiring the consideration of multiple factors. In this study, an approach that integrates Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with TOPSIS, is used to solve the supplier selection problem of an electronics company. The input set of criteria for these techniques is determined by statistical analysis while criteria weights are identified via AHP calculations. Alternative suppliers are put in order by using TOPSIS method to select the best one and sensitivity analysis is performed.
