Title Of Article :
Examined of causality relationship between number of chicken, the number of eggs and egg prices
Abstract :
In this study, causalities and long term relationship between number of hens, number of egg and egg price variables are analysis for 1980-2013 period, the direction and size of these relationships are determined by vector error correction models. They were seen in the study that the difference of the series were not stable and the series became stable after the first difference was taken. Cointegration analysis has been used in order to see the presence of long-run relationship between the variables. According to the results of the cointegration analysis, the series act together in the long term, that is, they are cointegrated. The made analysis, the long-term relation between the egg price and number of hens-cocks is found to be positive. However, a negative relationship has been found between egg price and number of egg. To see the direction of the relationship and the short-run dynamics between the variables, a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis has been utilized. According to obtained the results, show that there is a long-run relationship between the number of hens-cocks in Turkey and egg price and number of egg. There is bi-directional causality among egg number and the number of chicken and egg prices.
