Abstract
Nowadays; lighting energy consumption of buildings become an essential factor in worldwide and our country. Therefore the necessity of scientific investigation on this field have revealed. In European Union EN 15193-Energy Requirements for Lighting standard executed according to Building Energy Performance Directive (2002/91/EC). In order to predict the lighting energy performance by using this method, new or existing buildings with various typologies, except residental ones can be evaluated basing on this method. Subsequently “Turkish National Building Energy Performance Calculation Methodology (BEP-TR)” is prepared in accordance of this directive with respect to Turkey’s conditions. In this study; some details enhanced about lighting energy performance determination of residential buildings and new approaches proposed on different window orientation effects related with daylight parametres basing EN 15193 and BEP-TR.
