Overview of Crude Steel Production in Turkey and the World
Abstract :
In this study, analysis of the steel sector is aimed. By using the yearly steel production data obtained from the world steel Association the acceleration rate and the situation of countries in industry is observed. It was investigated whether there is a significant relation between the development level of countries and the steel production rates or not. For this purpose Anova method was used. According to the Anova results, there is no significant relation between production rates and the development level of countries. In addition, the countries producing steel are grouped according to their average production rates by performing clustering analysis. According to the results of the analysis; Turkey is located in the 9th cluster together with Belgium, Canada, France, Mexico, Poland, Spain and United Kingdom.
