Title Of Article :
Evaluation of Solar Power Plant Facility Location with an Integrated Approach Based on AHP and VIKOR Methods
Abstract :
Energy is a necessity that begins with the existence of humanity and grows day by day. The demand for energies continued to increase exponentially with the industrialization process especially after the 19th Century Industrial Revolution. As a large part of the energy needs is met by non-renewable energy sources, bottlenecks have begun to emerge, especially in fossil fuels. Because of this situation, renewable and alternative energy sources such as the sun, wind, geothermal, biomass, and wave have become inevitable. The first and most important step to be taken in order to ensure the highest return on renewable energy investments and to reduce the investment return process is to make the right decision the location of facility. As the number of alternatives and the number of criteria required for investment increase, it becomes increasingly difficult to decide the most appropriate organization. In this study, it was aimed to select the most suitable installation place from existing alternatives by using Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) techniques of a Solar Power Plant (SPP), which is considered to be established in Turkey. For this purpose, the weight values of the criteria were determined with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and then the solutions determined by the Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method were ranked according to their superiority ratings.
