Title Of Article :
Imaging Findings in Pediatric Malignant Liver Tumors with Three Cases: Pediatric Liver Masses

Abstract :
Although liver tumors are rare in children, they constitute approximately 5-6% of all abdominal masses and 0.5% to 2% of all pediatric neoplasms. Almost 2/3 of these tumors are malignant. Patients most frequently apply with the complaint of abdominal swelling. The most commonly used imaging methods in diagnosis are ultrasound imaging, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Other imaging methods such as scintigraphy and positron emission tomography are used less frequently. In many cases, imaging findings do not only provide helpful information in the malignant-benign distinction of the tumor, but also guide the planning of appropriate surgical treatment and staging of the disease. Because they are rare, diagnosis can sometimes be difficult. Treatment of liver masses includes surgical resection, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and liver transplantation. We aimed to present three cases with liver tumors with imaging findings.
