Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Chamber Music Works for a Wind Instrument and String Trio/Quartett and Detailed Analysis of the KV 370 (368b) Oboe Quartet in F major
Abstract :
Chamber music pieces of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who has composed all kinds of works, have an important place in his compositions. Studying such pieces is not only important for studying Mozart but also for music history because of Mozart’s innovations in composition and musical techniques and also because that he advanced previous innovations to the highest standards with such pieces. This study focusses on quartets and quintets composed for one wind instrument and three or four string instruments and especially on Oboe Quartet KV 370 (368b), which was somewhat hidden in the back ground, contrary to the general (such as string quartets); and also examines historical development of chamber music, especially in Viennese Classicism.
