Determining The Factors Effecting Experience Quality: Travel and Work Related Smartphone Use in Travel, Work-Travel Interference and Experience Quality
Abstract :
Today thanks to the latest technological advances, mobile phones are evolved into smartphones which can be used in everywhere at any time. The involvement of smartphones to people’s life has brought some advantages and disadvantages. Forexample smartphones provide an extended availability, real time information access, productivity and efficiency to the users. On the other hand; when people continue using their smartphones intensively during their vacation, the boundary between working hours and leisure time become less clear. In this paper, the relationship between travel related smartphone use in travel, work related smartphone use in travel, work-travel interference, experience quality and recovery experience has investigated. 562 surveys are collected through convenience sampling method. It is found that work-travel interference and experience quality are the antecedents of the recovery experience. All hypotheses are supported and findings are discussed.
