Determination of Socio-economic Characteristic of the Farmers Using Cluster Anaysis: The Case of Erzurum Province
Abstract :
The objective of this study is to classify the farmers into homogenous groups in accordance with their common characteristics and examine and compare the socio-economic structures of these groups. 68 questionnaires were conducted with the farmers who were selected by Proportional Sampling. Three homogeneous farmer groups with similar characteristics were determined in the result of Cluster Analysis. 32.35 % of the farmers constitute the first cluster, 29.41% the second and 38.24% constitutes the third cluster.
