Abstract :
To determine weed species and their densitiy, prevalence rates and community in barley fields in Bayburt, survey studies have been carried out in 27 fields during May and July in 2000 and 2001. Chenopodium album L., Cirsium arvense (L.) Scop., Sinapis arvensis L., Fallopia convolvulus (L.) A. Loeve., Geranium tuberosum L., Centaura depressa Bieb., Convolvulus arvensis L., Sideritis montana L., Avena fatua L., Lactuca serriola L., Tragopogon spp. ve Polygonum bellardii were determined as the most common weed species. It was observed that C. arvense, C. album, F. convolvulus and S. arvensis were the main members of the weed community. A total of 72 different weed species belonging to 23 families in Bayburt province 61.25 plants/m², 73 weed species belonging to 24 families in Demirözü 49.54 plants/m² and 68 weeds species belong to 24 families were determined in Aydıntepe district 46.10 plants/m².
