Abstract :
Red (EAR) female animals born in 1991-2004 years at the Eastern Anatolian Agricultural Research Institute (DATAE), in Erzurum were examined. Calving rate was 43.6% in the herd, that animals reached the age of 18 months and herd stayed and 56,4% did not calved. The average number of calf per cow was 3,30±0,16 in herd. These values for BS, HF and EAR were 3.04±0.36, 2.30±0.30 and 3.69±0.21 respectively. The average number of calf per cow in HF was lower than that of other breeds (P 0,01). True herd live for BS, HF and EAR was determined as 1130.8±.150.9, 810.4±100.8 and 1333.3±89.0 days, respectively. It was very important difference among the breeds in terms of true herd life. True herd live of calved heifers for BS, HF, and EAR was 2172.9±178.9, 1718.1±121.5 and 2283.6±97.8 days, respectively. Herd life for BS, HF, and EAR cows was 163.6±176.2, 829.8±117.6 and 1403.0±93.7 days. According to results from experiment, EAR gained an advantage over BS and HF breeds. Also, BS gave an outstanding performance than that of HF breed
