Title Of Article :
Effects of Sowing Date and Nitrogen Applications on Production of Essential Oil and Yield ofMatricaria chamomilla L.
Abstract :
The important factors that are limiting plant production are available water, growing period and fertilization in the word. The most important applications are early sowing and fertilization to be controlled for high production from growth plant species. The objective of this study, which was conducted at the Research Farm of Tebriz University, is to assess the effect of different sowing dates and nitrogen doses on dry flower yield, essential oil ratio and essential oil yield of Matricaria chamomilla. Three sowing dates (30 April, 10 and 20 May) and four doses of nitrogen (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg N/ha) were examined in a factorial arrangement of completely randomized blocks. Sowing date and nitrogen doses significantly affected dry flower yield and essential oil ratio (p 0.05).Essential oil yield was significantly affected by nitrogen doses. Matricaria chamomilla is should be sown at the 30 April with 100 kg N/ha nitrogen for dry flower and essential oil yield.
