Abstract
Study covers economic analysis of hazelnut grown in Çarşamba and Terme Plains of Samsun. The main data was gathered through questionnaires using stratified random sampling method from 96 hazelnut companies in Çarşamba Plain and 94 companies in Terme Plain during 2007-2008 production term. According to the results; the share of field capital in active capital was found as %87,12 in Çarşamba Plain and %92,72 in Terme Plain. Pure Revenue and Agricultural Income were found to be positive in both of the plains. While the average hazelnut field and average hazelnut yield per decare were found to be 29,22 decare in Çarşamba Plain and 124,33 kg, it was found to be 40,67 decare and 112,09 kg in Terme Plain.
