مرکز منطقه ای اطلاع رساني علوم و فناوري - Effect of Some Cultural Applications on Yield and Quality of Organic Table Grapes (Vitis vinifera L.) cv. Alphonse Lavalleé and Trakya İlkeren

Abstract :

The study examined the effects of Treatments to Cluster (TtC), Girdling (G) and Girdling+Treatments to Cluster (G+ TtC) on the quality of 110R and 41B grape-vine rootstock-grafted Alphonse Lavalleé and Trakya İlkeren table grapes in organic vineyard of implementation at Ege University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture in the years 2008 and 2009. The trial was designed based on split plot design. Each implementation was designed as 3 replications with 4 vines in each replication. It was determined that rootstock had not statistically significant effects on the yield values (kg/vine) for Alphonse Lavalleé and Trakya İlkeren. In the second year, it was determined that rootstock effect had statistically significant effects on brix (%) value for Alphonse Lavalleé. On the other hand, in the first year applications, it was determined that rootstock effect had statistically significant effects on the TA value for Trakya İlkeren (p 0,05). In a similar manner in the second year, it was determined that rootstock had statistically significant effects on weight of 100 berries (g), cluster width (cm) and berry length (mm) (p 0,05). For Alphonse Lavalleé grape, girdled vines (14.28 kg) and control (10.46 kg) are in first statistics group in the first year. On cluster applications and girdling + on cluster applications which are the achieved mean yield values (kg/vine) in order of 8.73 kg and 8.83 kg are in the same group. It was determined that treatments had not statistically significant effects on the yield values (kg/vine) for Trakya İlkeren.It was found that implementing TtC, G and G+ TtC on table grapes is highly crucial in vines where cultivation is undertaken according to organic agriculture principles with no chemical input.
