Fertilizer use Condition in Important Products: Tokat City Kazova District Example

In the research, the fertilizer use in tomato, wheat and sugar beet produced in agricultural enterprises in Tokat City Kazova District was examined. The data used in the research was collected through surveys made with 70 agricultural enterprises in 2012. According to the research findings, mostly DAP, ÜRE, TSP and Ammonium Nitrate fertilizers were used in the production of the related products. Farmer’s self-experience is the most important source of knowledge in determination of the used fertilizer kind and amount. The number of enterprises with a conducted soil analysis is very few. Most of the enterprises stated that they could use sufficient amount of fertilizer. The locations of fertilizer supply were determined as fertilizer-medicine dealers, Agricultural Credit Cooperative and sugar company.
