The Educational Status of Internal Medicine Nursing within Post-Graduate Education in Turkey
Abstract :
Research was conducted as a descriptive study with the aim of determining the general situation of post graduate nursing education, between the dates June 21, 2005- February 12, 2006; with 22 universities, which were giving post graduate nursing education in 2004-2005 educational terms. It is determined that in masters degree educating nursing schools the number of lecturers are insufficient and there are differences between these schools in distribution of lecturer-student ratio. Also schools sent students according to Higher Education Committee law according item 35th have difficulty in education and training because of their long stay. Difficulties of schools accepting students were adaptation problems, insufficient knowledge and skills and loss in their return.
