Motivation Levels and Difficuilties Encountered in the Patient Care of the Nurses Working in Surgery Clinics
Abstract :
This study was carried out as descriptively with the aim of motivation levels and difficulties encountered in the patient care of the nurses working in surger clinics. The sampling consisted of 74 nurses who accept to participate in the study and are on duty and work in the surgery clinics of Erzurum Regional Research Hospital and Palandöken State Hospital and Aziziye Research Hospital. Motivation scale developed by Nurullah Genç and the currency and reliability of which are detected with the aim of determining motivation levels of the nurses, long with questionary form including the reasons and difficulties encountered in patients care of the nurses were used in the collection of the data. The data obtained were assessed in SPSS packet programme by using arithmetic average, percentage, variance analysis and t-test. In conclusion, ıt was found out that very few part of the nurses had good general motivatieon levels and that they experienced frequently difficulties in patient care.
