Expectatıons Of Nurses From Applıed In-Servıce Traınıng Program And Their Thoughts Related To Thıs Program
Abstract :
This research was carried out as a description in order to determine the views of the nurses working at state hospital about in-service training. The paradigm of the research consists of 120 nurses working at state hospital and ones accepting to attend the survey. The data were obtained through one to one interview method and survey and the information were evaluated statistically with SPSS 10.0 program. According to the research results, it is seen that 85% of the nurses are female, they are 33 years old on average, and more than half of them work at surgical departments. It has been determined that 70.0% of them hasn’t got orientation program yet, 76.7% of them have volunteered to attend training programs and 4.1% of them says that they don’t need any training program. 48.3% of them say they want to take in-service training at their service, 33.3 % of them say in service training hour should be between 13-14 ‘o clock. More than half of the participants have said that in service training programs should be at periodical intervals. As a result, it can be advised that nurse’s needs be taken in to consideration in preparing programs and be constant.
