Abstract :
Purpose: Post-natal is a period of time for the mothers who newly give birth during which physical, emotional and social changes affecting the quality of their lives occur. This study was carried out to test the credibility and validity of the Turkish version of the Maternal Postpartum Quality of Life Questionnaire and to evaluate the post-natal quality of the lives of the mothers. Method: The samples of this methodological study consist of 200 mothers who delivered. After the translation of the measurement, the validity of the contents (expert opinion) and structure validity (confirmatory factor analysis and know group validity) for its validity, and the internal consistency and total item score correlation were studied for its credibility. Results and conclusion: The factor load ranged from 0.41 to 0.80 in the factor analyzes of Turkish measurement. Five-factor structure was verified in the confirmatory factor analysis. According to total score of the measurement, the Cronbach alfa reliability coefficient was 0.95 and total item score correlation was 0.435– 0.717. Maternal Postpartum Quality of Life Questionnaire, it has been regarded as a valid and reliable measurement to evaluate the post-natal quality of life of the women who give birth to.
