Abstract :
Objective: This study was planned to evaluate the managerial and organizational problems in nursing service in Gulhane Military Medical Faculty Training Hospital according to the nurses. Methods: Descriptive study was conducted with opinions of 306 nurses from 572, working in clinical services in GATF Training Hospital. Data were collected by a questionnaire form developed by Apaydın and given to the final shape by researcher according to literature review and expert opinions. Factor analysis was used for testing of the research survey’s structural validity. In order to assess the reliability of the survey Cronbach Alpfa values were calculated. Descriptive statistics were shown with frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. T test and one-way analysis of variance (One Way ANOVA) were performed to compare the groups. Results: The most agreed managerial and organizational problems assessed by nurses are; inadequate wages (79.4%), unshared performance evaluation criteria, ignorance of knowledge (76.9%), skills and training in determining task fields (68.2%), ignorance of good work and being talented as criteria for advancement, inadequate security measures against harassment, assault, and theft cases (63.2%), and the inadequate number of nurse(63%)s. Conclusion: It was detected that nurses suffer from problems related to management style.
