Abstract :
Objective: This study,was carried out as descriptive purpose in identification the behaviours of the mothers with children aged 0-2 in oral drug administration.Method:The population of the study was composed from 140 mothers with children of 0-2 who turned up to be served in these two village clinics between December 1, 2010 and February 28, 2011 the dates when the research was conducted and accepted to take part in the research. Data were collected with a form prepared by the researchers in prepared by the researchers making use of the relevant literature. For the statistical analysis of the data, SPSS 15.00 package program were used to show data distribution prepared.Results:It was also felt that 36.4 percent of mothers involved sometimes had difficulty in drug administration of their children unlike 28.6 per cent who always did. On the other hand, it was determined that 55.7 percent of the mothers administered the drug to them when they awoke if their children went to sleep. Also it was made clear that in the event that more than one drug were needed to be administered, 50.7 per cent did it one after another and when the drug was vomitted, 60 percent gave it up . 43.6 percent went on using the drug until the pain was relieved and in case of any side effects, 46.4 per cent stopped it.Conclusion: It was concluded that mothers with children of 0 to 2 had inadequate or erronerous knowledge in their behaviour of adminisraton of drugs to some extent.
