Use of confirmatory factor analysis in validity and reliability studies
Abstract :
The confirmatory factor analysis is a kind of structural equation model which is used to determine the relationship between observable and latent variables and has a significant value in scale adaptation studies. The purpose of this study was to give historical and theoretical information regarding confirmatory factor analysis and also represent information about related terms, fit indexes, and interpretation of results. As well as the confirmatory factor analysis, the study also introduced LISREL, which is one of the softwares carrying out this analysis, and gave information about basic stages of the analysis.
