The Opinions of Nurses Graduated From Faculty About Bachelor’s Degree Education and Affected Factors

Abstract :
Objective: This descriptive research was made to investigate the opinions of nurses graduated fromfaculty about bachelor’s degree education. Methods: The study was conducted between the dates of July 01 2014 and September 26 2014 on nurses who graduated from a faculty of nursing (n=125) and who participated (n=116) to the study. In collecting data, “Graduate Introduction Form” and “Bachelor’s Degree Education Scale for Evaluation” were used. To conduct the study, written consent was taken from Scientific Ethic Committee and Faculty of Nursing. T test and ANOVA were used in analyzing data. Results: The total score mean of Bachelor’s Degree Education Scale for Evaluation of graduated nurses was 97.37±20.04. The mean score for the subscale of the quality which will gain by the students after graduating was determine as 35.88±6.04, for the subscale of contents of the course was 10.19±2.06, for the subscale of presenting of the courses was 21.24±4.99, subscale of the characteristics of educators was 21.82±4.84 and for the subscale of the quality of the practices was 14.32±2.97. Besides it was found a statistically meaningful differences according to “opinions of family related to nursing profession”, “thinking that graduated from faculty of nursing is an privilege”, “opinions of graduates that interships programs is useful” and the mean score of the subscales (p 0.05). It was not found any differences between the mean score of the subscales according to gender, residential place of family, and voluntary selection of nursing. Conclusions: As a result, we can say that graduated nurses evaluated their education as “over medium / fairly good .
