Abstract :
The purpose of the study is to develop a humor behavior scale. For this purpose, a HumorBehavior Scale comprised of 32 items is developed and applied on 214 primary schoolteachers. According to preliminary study on the scale, exploratory factor analysis is done andstructure validity is determined statistically. Firstly, “KMO and Barlett’s test of sphericity”are used to determine appropriateness of the factor analysis. Number of factor is determinedwith the first analysis, then varimax rotation method is used and five factors are obtained withthe remained 30 scale items. Data obtained from factor analysis shows that the scale is highlyvalid. Cronbach Alfa coefficient is used to determine reliability of the scale and it has beenseen that whole scale and each of the factors is highly reliable. As a result of the analysis, itcan be said “Humor Behavior Scale” is a highly valid and reliable scale and can be used infuture studies relevant to humor.
