INVESTIGATION OF READING HABITS OF THE NINTH GRADE STUDENTS ACCORDING TO SOME VARIABLES
Abstract :
In this study, ninth grade students’ reading habits and the relationship between school type and gender variables were determined. The study is a field research because it is carried out in the usual environment where a phenomenon occurs. Survey model and simple random sampling were used in the study. The frequency, percentage, chi-square test and ratio analysis techniques were also used for datum analyze. The study indicates vital clues about the important points in the gaining of students’ reading habits as well as the determination of students’ reading habits. The study is important because it determines students’ reading habits in the ninth grade and it gives information about the knowledge accummulation and the quality of education acquired in the educational processes taking place till high school.
