Abstract :
Hrisantos who was Rum of Turkish Nationality in Istanbul was involved in crimes since he was young and he gradually increased the concept and quality of his crimes with increasing of his age. And then Hrisantos who established his own gang with his own name by taking many bandits, who were famous in Istanbul in that period, cooperated with especially English and even took charge in English secret service following occupation of Istanbul in 1918 by Entente States. The savage bandit became a hero in the eyes of Rums in Istanbul and especially Rums living in Beyoglu aided and abetted him. With the support taken by their leader, the gang of Hrisantos committed many crimes such as: robbery, snatching, murder and pitilessly slaughtered many of the people whose majority were Turkish police. The gang was busted by security forces in Istanbul in 1920.
