Tribes of Sanjak of Bayezid and Settlement Policy at the Ends of Nineteenth Century
Abstract :
The detection of the historical basis of Agri province’s social construction brings out the need for evaluation of migration and settlement in different aspects. In this study, with the help of archive records, Bayezid Tribes’ settlements, and their administrative construction are dwelled on. The case of tribes’ settlement, border violations, commercial proceedings, and the security of the region were handled by Ottoman Empire importantly. After the wars releted to the region in 19th century there began a dense traffic in migration and settlement, and as a result, the clans to refuge Ottoman Empire caused the state to produce new policies about settlement. The case that the organization of the region tribes as military groups affects the other tribes to refuge Ottoman Empire and their acceptence.
