Abstract :

In this article, we will discuss the human conceptions of Farabi and try to show his human imaginations. We will detect Farabi’s human conceptions, using his human concepts and definitions. In summary, specifically, Farabi’s human imagination is a matter-form and a seniorofficer relationship. Both the matter-form imagination and a substance-accident relationship are formed from three nested subtlebeing, namely reason-spirit-soul, reason is located in its essence. The place of all three is the central member, heart. Farabi givesthe Quranic metaphor `The light of the lamp in the mishkat’ as an example on histhisidea. First of all a senior-officer relationship occurs between reason-spirit-soul. Sprit and soul have got powers which are their workers. Reason is the chief and the head of all because of being first and before. Heart is the officer of body. Because the heart is the place of all three officers. Reason produces the philosophy consisting of two parts. These two parts are theoretical (ilm or nazarî) and practical (irade or amalî) philosophy. The aim of philosophy is to approach knowledge of the supreme reason and happiness. But human species cannot achieve happiness alone. Man need to build city and help each other. Man who builds the city and guides the city people is philosopher-Messenger.
