Abstract :
Historically, there has been a choes in the fields of Balkan politics, religion, nationality, language and identity and this chaos from time to time affected the individual and collective identity in this geography. The conflict in the Balkans happened about notions of nationality and religion. It has had perpetual change in this lands and one of the this changes was The Austro-Hungarian era in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a period which Bosnians are blindsided, feel the surprise and live in space for a while. For long centuries, these lands have seen the Ottoman dominance, Ottoman dominance in the Balkans ended with the Agreement on Berlin in 1878. Bosnian/Muslims try to find a way for this new era they are blindsided. One of the recipe is to broadcast Bosnian using the Arabic scripts. Press with Arabic scripts virtually have used as facility to instill the social consciousness, to protect the Bosnian identity in the Austro-Hungarian era. In the Austro-Hungarian era, Muallim journal which figured to instill the identity consicousness was discussed in the assembly meeting of Cemiyet-i Ilmiye (Religious Scholars’ Association) and began to be pressed at the request of Haji Mehmed Cemaleddun Čaušević. It was exlplained that Muallim, represented of Asssociation, especially provides imams and masters, to commentate the educational problems of the period and the most important to supply the religion education in the each volume. Muallim is published abouth three years. Then, it proceeds to press named New Misbah integrating with the Misbah journal. We encounter Turkish texts and mainly Bosnian texts which figure in the journal as important documents to perceive the mental construction of the period. In our study, we aimed to suggest cultural and mental change of the period publishing the Turkish texts in our study which has occured Muallim journal which is admirable of Alhamiyado Literature- Bosnian literature written with Arabic letters.
