Abstract :
The newspaper, which first got published in 18 March 1910, Hayal-i Cedid s head writer is Ebussüreya Sami and its owner is Mehmet Rauf. There are 89 issues that came out, showing the Second Constitutional Era s political, social, cultural and literary events humorously. The newspaper has been nationalist on foreign politics and critical on domestic politics. One of the newspaper s important feature is that it contains lots of literary genres like poem, story, theater and criticism. The role of Mehmet Rauf on this subject is an undeniable reality. Mehmet Rauf, who is an experienced man of letters, published a lot of articles on the newspaper using the nickname Jüpon . These articles have a great importance in our literary history because they have never been published anywhere else before.
