Turkish Learners English-French Interlingual Error: Example of Marmara University
Abstract :
Teachers should think about errors on the purpose of searching the reasons of the errors in order to lead their students well and present an effective teaching. One of the reasons of these errors is the first foreign language learned before that may affect the acquisition of the second foreign language positively or negatively. In this context, in Marmara University we have studied with 72 students who studied English Language and learned French as a second foreign language in 2013-2014 Education Year English Language Teaching Department. In this study, the photocopies of the exam papers have been analysed and then interlingual errors between English and French have been determined by means of comparative research. It is aimed that the solutions and offers are presented as French teachers and students who learn French can determine the best method.
