Abstract
Today, the error that was previously evaluated negatively has become a positive benchmark for teachers. This study aims to provide a fundamental solution to errors resulting from the influence of the native language. This research analyzes 335 errors, due to the interference of native language, Turkish. The sample consists of 180 sentences selected in tasks of students learning French in Atatürk University in the course of written expression between the academic years 2000-2010. Knowing that there are different types of classification, the one that we chose is Hurrydeo Beefun who classified the errors such as lexical/grammatical errors, morphological and syntactic. Among the errors categorized according to the study, the lexical / grammatical errors are repeated often by participants.
