Space and Time Analysis in Aurélia
Abstract :
“Aurélia” by Gerard de Nerval is an autobiographical work, on the other hand it can be seen as a dreamlike work. Nerval narrates his personal experience of dreams. The autobiographical nature of the work was determined by attributing narrator’s autobiographical presentation. Then, arising from the full title of the work “Aurelia ou le rêve et la vie”, where space is emphasized is studied in two parts: imaginary space and real space. The features and differences of the two spaces are highlighted in the study. Thereafter, time determiners are analysed according to the time of fiction and narration.
