Abstract :
The Turkish Ministry of National Education has implemented, by the ministerial Decree No. 315, dated 17.07.2006, the new program for teaching french as foreign language in high schools. The method Salut 10 prepared following this decision, has been in use from the 2007-2008 school year. In this research, the method Salut, currently used as the basic material at FLE for the 10th year in high schools was analyzed. The book analyzed is designed according to the communicative approach. The research was carried out according to the model proposed by McDonough and Shaw (2013). The book is first analyzed from the perspective of external and internal factors. Data obtained is analyzed by taking into account the interpretation of experts in the domain of French as foreign language. In conclusion, despite some flaws, frequent also in many methods, “Salut 10” is an attractive method which content is rich with its innovative contributions.
