He mentions the bravery of Palestinian children called “bouncer”. He is the only western witness of Şatila massacre. He narrates the massacre in Şatila with every detail to the world. Like most of his other works, “prisoner of love” is also catcalled as a terrorist text written by an old extreme left-winger. Yet, far after his death Genet’s literature perspective is appreciated and the interest in his works increases day by day. In his literary life, he didn’t beware from the opponents and he always stood nearby oppressed and tried to destroy the dirty origin that he also came from. He could always criticize the imperialism with his works. “Prisoner of love” is the story of patriotic love of Palestine people who live in captivity. Jean Genet says “Violence avoids violence” by emphasizing the importance of being powerful. As he stood against imperialist authorities, his passport and identity are seized and he is sent to prison and found dead in his hotel room in 1986.
