Abstract :
In this study, the first socialist organizations and the first socialist discussions will be considered by dealing with the process of the emergence of socialist thought in the last period of the Ottoman State. In this context, both the scholars of the state in the period and ideas of intellectuals about socialism, the process of socialist movements in the Ottoman State and their stages of development will be analyzed. The first labor movements emerged in Ottoman State and the legal texts regulating the labour relations will also be studied and thanks to the close relationship with Europe, the role of the minorities that enable Ottoman State to become familiar with the socialist ideas will be discussed.
