Abstract :
This research attempts to understand the importance of the climatic governance in the fightagainst food insecurity in a context of climate change in Benin. The methodological materialmobilized is essentially descriptive and analytical. The research is based on data from deskresearch and field surveys conducted mainly in Benin from in-depth individual and groupinterviews and direct observation. The triangulation of the data shows that the climate changeis a complex, multidimensional (environmental, social, political and economic) and holisticphenomenon. Decline, irregularity and heavy rainfall as well as rising temperatures aremanifestations of climate change that threaten the agricultural sector and promote foodinsecurity. The need for the implementation of a common and concerted climate governancefor capable of favoring the development of a sustainable agriculture is essential in order toguarantee the food security of the African populations.
