Title Of Article :
Effect of Boron Fertilization On Yield And Some Leaf Nutrient Contents of Hazelnut
Abstract :
This study was conducted to determine the effect of increasing boron fertilization on the yield, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and boron contents of leaves of hazelnut plant. The experiment were carried out based on the completely randomized design with four replicates for the applications from soil and with three replicates for the application from the foliar. In the applications from the soil to the hazelnut plants, the micro crystalline forms (MICF) and the macro-crystalline forms (MACF) of sodium pentaborate (18 B %), that have different resolution characteristics were applied to the hazelnut in 0-5-10-15g B ocak^-1 level; and in the application from foliar, micro-crystalline forms was applied in 0-300-600-900ppm B level, grown in the province of Ordu, in 2007 and 2008. According to the results, the highest yield was determined with 488.5g ocak^-1 and 1077.8g ocak^-1, that foliar applied at 600 and 900ppm B in every year, respectively. The highest yield in each year of from the MICF application, that was done from soil, is at a dose of 5g B ocak^-1 and was determined at a dose of 10g B ocak^-1 in MACF application. Soil applications increased good kernel ratio, and blank fruit rate decreased in foliar applications and MICF applications. Increasing boron application increased B contents of leaves regularly ,and this increase was higher in the foliar application dose. Nitrogen, P and K contents of hazelnut leaves were changed by fertilizer types and doses.
