Abstract :
At the onset of his first novels, in this case Le Tricheur, La Corde Raide, Le Sacre du Printemps and Gulliver, critics noted a clear propensity for writing introspection in Claude Simon’s work1. With the exception of Les Corps conducteurs, Triptyque and Leçon de choses where the self- representation of labor is pushed to its extreme, novels ranging from Le Vent to Le Tramway are true stories from memory. We can retain the Simonian descriptor character has an amazing memory. However, the latter is unable to account for a faithful way of living. On the one hand, for modern and especially after Chklovski studies , the world is only a sum of own perceptions to each individual. The Art cannot therefore claim to be referential.
